Team Information

The Evanston Small Fry Basketball program will have practice every Monday and Wednesday (unless there is a school function or holiday) at the Martin Luther King Jr. Lab School. Jr. Varsity will practice from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm and Varsity will practice from 7:30 pm until 9:00 pm.

The program sponsors two teams: 9-11 years old (Jr. Varsity) and 11-13 years old (Varsity). In order to participate, the player must commit to attending practice twice a week on time and, be available for all games.

The players must agree to conflict resolution whether it be in school, at practice, during games or where it counts the most, at home. The players must return a weekly academic progress report and must meet certain standards in order to be eligible to compete in a game for that week.

The players are also expected to exhibit respect for themselves and others, they must not be critical of their teammates and, they must agree to participate in all team building exercises.
